Ok, i can delete pages without problems now in CWS vcl42 unless they are tagged
and the page is not empty (see below). I do not get the "incorrect structure"
error anymore; there was still an error in Page structural parents, also the
structure did not enforce that the "Document" element was the top of the
structure tree.

What i do still get is "One or more pages are in use and could not be deleted",
if the PDF is tagged. This seems to be a general constraint in Acrobat since the
same happens with tagged PDF files not produced by OOo but e.g. with Adobe
FrameMaker; as far as i can see this is due to the fact that the structure
elements contained on pages to be deleted are still refrenced in the structure
tree (which is why one can delete empty pages which obviously do not contain any
referenced objects).

So i'd say this is fixed now in CWS vcl42
