excuse me, but if I am reading your "resolution" of this issue correctly, you
are saying that this bug is attributable to the read-only status of the
template?
well, i can assure you that the template to which i was trying to save was not
read-only (in fact, it never has been). unless there is some other step for
storage of this data within the OO tree (i.e. in the superuser file system,
which requires write privileges to a template file outside the normal user
folders), then I am at a loss to understand the decision here. (that
misunderstanding is possible because i am not a developer). can you explain a
little further -- especially what you mean when you write: "the template was
opened read-only so nothing could be stored to it. The bug
still remains if the template *is* read-only"?
unless I am missing something in how the new app stores templates, my OO
templates in the 2.0 betas have never been "read-only"
