Standard MinGW (non-MSYS2) still needs DirectX and I don't want to download the DXSDK. I don't like using MSYS2 because it doesn't have cmake-gui. It would be nice to have a new version of the minimalist DXSDK available (if that is the cause of these problems). I'm also kind of clumsy when it comes to using a bash shell, so MSYS2 is not my favorite.
