We have not expected Base Services to release in the same month as Core previously. Aaron, is that now your intention?
Keep in mind that "16.04" in "Base Services 16.04" only signifies the version of core that it uses and not the month of release. When QCE maintained Base Services, we would attempt to release within a month of Core if possible. Is the desire now to bring that in earlier? ________________________________ From: [email protected] <[email protected]> on behalf of Lioy, Marcello <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, February 11, 2016 5:33:23 PM To: Aaron Vernon; Art Lancaster Cc: '[email protected]' Subject: Re: [Allseen-core] 16.04 Core release + core mail list so others can comment or correct. When we talk about the 16.04 release is there any particular time in the month that you typically release? [Lioy, Marcello] Tends to be middle of the last week (Wed, Thursday) of the release month (e.g. April for 16.04). When do you think there will be a suitable stable 16.04 release for the Common Frameworks team to verify their 16.04 release against? Ideally this would be a month before the release date to give us time to QA and make any required adjustments. Do you think this is feasible? [Lioy, Marcello] the current plan is to "feature freeze" 3/18, after that only bug fixes with the bug bar raising week by week. I would think that 4 weeks later, the code should be stable enough for the BaSe project. Cheers Aaron -- Aaron Vernon CTO, Higgns New York * Melbourne * Berlin www.higgns.com<http://www.higgns.com>
