My style has always been a pile of dirt with rocks stuck in here and there.
Very classy. The dirt always has a backbone of unsinkable material. My
neighbors are by now used to the sight of me shuffling down the street with a
wheelbarrow looking for junk to put under the raised beds. The financial aspect
of rock gardens also means that the raised beds have different kinds of rocks
(horrors) depending on when they were built.
Well, who knows, maybe the plants I put in will actually live, and hide most of
the gravel.
