I think it is a good learning book, for some people anyway.  It was
for me.  That's just my experience though; it may not be so for
everybody.  In any case, I am firmly convinced that every C programmer
should have a copy of it.  (I'm sure Addison-Wesley would be very
happy to hear me say that .. :) )

Admittedly, I was already a trained programmer when I got the book.
Someone with no training in structured programming should get a book 
that covers data structures etc.

naah.  I remember the experience of learning C with that book as
remarkably easy.  Again, just my own experience.

Hmm .. that sounds interesting, I might give that a look myself.  I
think he was more interested in MIDI though.
