I think it is a good learning book, for some people anyway. It was for me. That's just my experience though; it may not be so for everybody. In any case, I am firmly convinced that every C programmer should have a copy of it. (I'm sure Addison-Wesley would be very happy to hear me say that .. :) ) Admittedly, I was already a trained programmer when I got the book. Someone with no training in structured programming should get a book that covers data structures etc. > It probably took about twice as long as it should have compared to a good > textbook style . naah. I remember the experience of learning C with that book as remarkably easy. Again, just my own experience. > > programming under Unix. I think he was more interested in MIDI though. -- Michael Ashton <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ---- Pray for: - the souls of those who have lost, and will lose, their lives, as a result of the US terrorist attacks; - the souls of those responsible, that they may see the destruction they have wrought, and repent, before it is too late; - the United States, that its people will return to God for strength, and forgive; for the attackers "know not what they do"; - the agents of justice on Earth, that they may speedily do God's will, whatever that may be. _______________________________________________ Alsa-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-devel
