I contacted Toshiba europe, the linux people and i got these two answer.
As for the first one more technical and on topic(which anyway didnt
understand so well) ,
the second one is quite scary and somehow can affect alsa too (i.e. the IRQ
for my audio chip are set to 0 and i dont know a way to change this. Do we
have a way to change these IRQs from inside Linux?)

My questions were:
1)Toshiba claims i have a ymf753 sound chip linux sees an Intel chip: who's
right?
2) I need to change the BIOS or shall i start an hunger strike: what to do?

ANSWER FROM TOSHIBA:
        Hi,
The sound chip is build in into the Chipset (ALI Nappa2).
Could be that the way to use the sound chip is the same as an Intel Audio
     Chip.
Sorry, I can't tell you more. (Still not checked from us as I told you).

        Bios:
        You run into a fault.
This machine is one of the first "legacy free" models which means there
     are
     no BIOS options to change.
All settings and recourses must be assigned by the OS.
For details, please check the "legacy free" FAQ on MS Knowledgebase.
Sorry for this inconvenience, but this is the future. :-((
        Greetings
     Andy
