Another example of Sound card in windows: - ------------- Sound Devices ------------- Description: SoundMAX Digital Audio Device ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2445&SUBSYS_00D81028&REV_04 (SUBSYS ID: 00D8:1028) Manufacturer ID: 1 Product ID: 100 Type: WDM Driver Name: smwdm.sys Driver Version: 5.12.01.3019 (English) Driver Attributes: Final Retail Driver Certified: Yes Date and Size: 3/20/2001 13:31:10, 412968 bytes Other Files: Driver Provider: Analog Devices HW Accel Level: Standard Registry: OK Sound Test Result: http://pciids.sourceforge.net/iii/?i=80862445 from the Linux PCI ID Repository Subsystems for device 8086:2445: 82801BA/BAM AC'97 Audio We will probably have to probe the SUBSYS IDS: 0002:1179 for final details of the card. It is about time that the Linux kernel starting taking note of the PCI SUBSYS IDs. More and more PCs require them. The best match I can find in the alsa drivers is the snd-card-intel8x0.o module. It has 8086:2445 as the PCI ID. Cheers James _______________________________________________ Alsa-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-devel
