I'm not sure if the EWX is fully supported under ALSA 0.5. Would it
be much of a hassle to you to upgrade to ALSA 0.9? I have a M-Audio
Audiophile wich is very similar to the EWX, and I could get it to work
without flaws with every ALSA newer than 0.9.0beta7.
