well, i would say that adding (1) and (2) are not "minor" extensions. in addition, i've already reported a bug in the config parsing whereby if something could be a string or an integer, and the string contains an integer value, it assumes the item was an integer. its parsing issues like this that worry me. there are xml parsers (just for example) that have been thoroughly validated, as well as tools to edit and present the data in the files when necessary. with this syntax, we have no validation (yet) and a rather arcane file that many users will need to adjust to get their audio configuration correct. --p _______________________________________________ Alsa-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-devel
