MOTU have repeatedly shown absolutely zero interest in Linux
support. The only driver ALSA contains right now is for the MTP/AV,
which was apparently possible to reverse engineer; whatever methods
and info the author used, it didn't involve much help from MOTU. The
same will absolutely not be true of their audio interfaces.

If you want to use MOTU hardware, you're basically stuck with their
choice of OS. Its pathetic, but thats how it is.
