What app did you use? You should first try with 'aplay' (comes with
alsa-utils package). In case aplay fails to parse the wav header,
try ecasound (www.eca.cx/ecasound):
ecasound -sr:96000 -f:s24_le,2,96000 -i foo.wav -o alsa
