Hello Everyone!
I finally got alsa-driver-0.9.0beta10 downloaded, compiled,
installed, and working. The problem is that it didn't give me the
results I had hoped for and I was wondering if I forgot a step or
something.
I installed ALSA about a year ago under Linux RH 6.2 if I
remember correctly. I had installed it to fix the problems related to
the OSS driver, particularly fixing the problem where .au files were
highly distorted and allowed SpeakFreely to work correctly. ALSA fixed
the issues as expected.
Now I'm running Linux RH 7.2. I installed ALSA for the exact
same reasons mentioned above. But this time, I still get highly
distorted .au files, and I still can't get SF to function correctly.
I went through the installation per the instructions but this
time around I didn't get any relief from the problems I had before. I'm
wondering if I left a step out or something? Here is a copy of the
output from lsmod. Any help in getting back the desireed functionlity
from ALSA would be greatly appreciated!
