Hi, I usually use mpg123 to play some music while I'm using my computer, but I find that sometimes when another application plays a short sound, there's then a really annoying buzz/ring sound. If I pause playback the sound goes away and then I can play again and it's fine - until another sound occurs. The main offender seems to be WebDownloader. mpg123 is using OSS output and I'm pretty sure downloader is too. I'm running kde-2.2.1 and have arstd running. My version of alsa is 0.9.0beta8a and I'm using a sound blaster live platinum. I also find that I often get a similar ring when watching some documentries and other features on DVD's on another computer. Any suggestions on how to prevent this would be appreciated.
