Hi

I have alsa-0.9beta10 on my system, kernel 2.4.16, was a SuSE 7.3, soundcard
is emu10k1.

So:
Sound works fine, both oss emulation (which most applications seem to use),
and "pure" alsa, (which only xine seems to use). But, the following pattern
occurs:

I play quake3 a lot while listening to mp3's. freeamp usually takes care of
the mp3's on one of my virtual terminals. Then, after I have left quake3,
freeamp stops at some point to play music. I cant stop it via "q" as usual, I
have to use Ctrl-C. "ps -A | grep freeamp" gives me freeamp still running.
Neither the user nor root can kill this process, neither with kill nor with
kill -9 (which should kill _everything_ shouldnt it ?). Also, I cant rmmod
any of the soundmodules as they "are busy". If I start a sound using app
(quake3 again, or a different mp3 player....) The software behaves unnormal
(quake3 doesnt start, but seems to hang at soundinitilisation, mpg123 hangs
helplessley (even Strg-C will not help)...
What is there wrong ? Is this a bug ? Is it fixed ?
