Hi I've an Hercule Gamesurround Muse XL soundcard, which works with the cmipci module, and Alsa last version being installed with both OSS compatibility, and sequencer support. fine.
In the INSTALL file inside the drivers directory, the parameters below, are quoted as being supported by this driver cmipci. snd_enable_fm=1 ( or 0 ) snd_fm_port=0x388 ( 0x388 default ) snd_enable_midi=1 ( or 0 ) snd_mpu_port=0x330 ( 0x300 default ) My question is: Is it true, that enabling both midi and fm capabilities at the same time, is possible? As I get in /proc/ioports, both the 0x330 and 0x388 ports numbers, respectively dedied to Midi and FM, that should be true. Second question: How is it feasible, to get Jazz working, using the FM OPL3 synthesis, i.e. port 0x388 as configured in /etc/modules.conf, so that I might output directly sound to the speakers, while playing a midi file?
