Hello, please help me. Soundcard is not recognised because I've no PCI-Bus:
Notebook Thinkpad 755C (486, 75 Mhz), Crystal 4248, ISA-BUS, no PCI-BUS! According to .../alsa/cards.txt cs4248 is supported: Card Driver -------------------------------------------------- ... AD1848/AD1847/CS4248 snd-card-ad1848 ... running alsa-0.5.10 (from Suse 7.2) Laptop with Kernel 2.2.14, Suse 6.4 But trying to install: # alsaconf Neither /proc/bus/pci/devices nor /proc/pci found, so PCI resource conflict not checked pcilib: Cannot open /proc/bus/pci Cannot find any working access method ++++++ I put the text above as Bug report to http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=27464 I hope that was correct. BTW: modprobe ad1848 works - but only standalone with no parameters.
