Now I tried this with 2.1.dev7, but no luck: I don't get segfaults
anymore, but still the recorded wav is empty. mp3 gets recorded but
there's this strange message again:

It seems, I will need to use OSS emulation for the next time.
BTW: The Makefile for python ecasound seems to miss an
installdirs:
$(mkinstalldirs) $(DESTDIR)$(libdir)
or such, otherwise it can not get installed if the python/site-packages
dir doesn't exist, which for example is the case if you build for a
package manager like dpkg.
