hi! i have tried to get my terratec 24/96 to run and i have come sooo close, i can almost hear it. almost. i'have downloaded compiled/installed alsa driver 0.9.0b9 from alsa-project site. after tempering about without success i installed the debian alsa packages upon recommendation of a friend, and this time i got the mixer running, all the stuff in /proc/alsa is there (it knows which soundcard i have), the IRQ/port settings seem to be ok, and still no sound. oh . and yes, i have run the snddevices script, turned up the vomlume(s) and unmuted every channel, tried with and without oss compatibility problem is also, when i echo 'something' > /dev/dsp system tells me 'no such device'
