-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I installed an ATI Radeon 8500(AGP) to replace my ATI Mach64 4Mb card(PCI). The sound under Alsa went from perfect to noisy as hell. Specifically random high pitched clicks or bleeps. The current 0.5 driver is less noisy than the 0.9 driver. Any ideas?
My motherboard has the Via chipset (about a year old). I suspect that the increased load is creating some interruption in the audio stream. The card in the computer is an ens-1371.
