Hi there,

I recently bought a Gigabyte motherboard with a CT5880 sound chip.
I'm using Suse 7.3 out of the box. alsaconf finds the sound chip
but fails to load the driver:

Starting sound driver: ens137
/lib/modules/2.4.16-4GB/misc/snd-card-ens1371.o: init_module: No such
device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters,
including invalid IO or IRQ parameters
/lib/modules/2.4.16-4GB/misc/snd-card-ens1371.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.4.16-4GB/misc/snd-card-ens1371.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.16-4GB/misc/snd-card-ens1371.o: insmod snd-card-ens1371
failed

lspci -v gives:

00:10.0 Multimedia audio controller: Ensoniq 5880 AudioPCI (rev 04)
Subsystem: Giga-byte Technology: Unknown device a000
Flags: bus master, slow devsel, latency 32, IRQ 10
        I/O ports at dc00 [size=64]
Capabilities: [dc] Power Management version 2

According to the documentation the CT5880 is supported... but maybe not
in revision 4? Any hints, fixes?

Thanks,
Armin
