Hi Folks, I have an Abit USB Theater 5.1 (UA10) which seems to work fine with the ALSA driver (but not the usb audio driver from www.linux-usb.org). The pod has 6 channels out (5 directly connected) and 2 channels in (not connected).
The USB pod has a single isochronous end point for the out bound stuff and so requires 6 channel PCM to be sent to the single interface so that each of the channels can be independently exercised. I was wondering if ALSA is able to support 3 stereo interfaces for a pod like this in the same way that OSS has a variety of interfaces for talking to multi-channel sound cards like Envy24 (ICE1712) based cards?
