Hi, For Red Hat Linux, you could eventually try out the instructions I've put up on http://freshrpms.net/docs/alsa/ to install ALSA. The package are surrently only available for Red Hat Linux 8.0, but all .src.rpm should recompile cleanly on 7.3.
