Hi, I think this probably isn't the best place to ask these questions, but there doesn't seem to be a Bristol email list. (Or any that I found yet.
I'm looking for clues as to why Bristol would, on my AP2496/RME machine, have very low sound output. I assumed it might be an alsamixer issue, but nothing other than the masters seems to be controlling it, and everything is much louder. It produced lots of volume on my SB Audigy machine in the office. I start the app bin/startbristol -alsa -mini I am running the distributed binaries. I have not built it myself yet. alsaplayer is working fine, so alsa works. With jack running Bristol won't run, which may eliminate it as a soft synth for me right there. Anyway, thanks for any hints you might have.
