I'm running SuSE 8.1 and I am having problems with ticks and pops on a Delta 1010 with Alsa RC3 especially under kde. If I use aRts it works fine. OSS or Alsa output with xmms produces clicks and ticks. Alsaplayer won't even run with the alsa output selected even though it is in the directory. Using -o oss will make it play but it has the same ticks and pops. Looking at kdecontrol center I see for sound: Alsa v0.9.0rc3 emulation code Installed drivers: Type 10 ALSA Emulation This all leads me to believe that I am not running native Alsa? How do I get rid of this emulation thing and run native alsa? --
