I think that is your sound card "intel8x0: clocking to 48000".Please, I still have the same problem, I\'ve installed the latest drivers forDoes \"dmesg\" show any errors output?
ALSA on my PC (I\'ve got an Intel 850MV Mainboard using the snd-intel8x0 module
of ALSA). I\'ve followed all the instructions but I still have the same problem.
Everything seems to be fine but I can\'t hear any sound coming from my
computer...yes, I\'ve already unmuted it with alsamixer using the \"m\" and I\'ve
already raised the volume. I can\' find where the problem is, Please help me. I\'m
sending you what the lsmod gives, if you need something else please let me know.
I\'d like to have the sound working as soon as possible.
Really, really thanks.
Regards,
Ricardo Sapaico.
Have you rebooted since you unmuted the channel, it resets unless you\'ve done everything.
Hi, well, I don\'t know what is that dmesg for but i\'m sending it as a little .txt attachment. I hope somebody could see it and tell me if there\'s something wrong. And to the other question, no, I haven\'t rebooted since I unmuted the channel, is it necessary? And what do you mean with \"unless you\'ve done everything\"?
Sometimes "dmesg" shows errors.
You need to run "alsactl store 0" to create /etc/asound.state and then "alsactl restore 0" everytime you reboot otherwise
it'll reset to muted.
Do you have a graphical environment? Please help me, I can\'t hear anything out from my PC. BTW I\'m running Slackware.
I run KDE.
If you're in a graphical environment, go to the control centre and see what the sound daemon is using for output
(artsd for KDE).
