Hi!

There is a problem with my Alsa-Drivers! I use a Notebook with SuSE 7.3 and an onboard
soundcard i810. In the original installation of SuSE Linux the alsa driver
snd-card-intel8x0 is used, but it plays p.e. my MP3's and other Audio files to fast (
obscurly a Audio-CD is played in correct speed?!? ).

Some weeks ago i updated my kernel from 2.4.10 to 2.4.16 via RPM ( kernel.rpm is
located on ftp.suse.com ). After that alsa didn't longer work and so i searched and
found some rpm's ( alsa-driver-2.4.16.rpm, alsa-devel.rpm, alsa.rpm ) made specially
for kernel 2.4.16. With this drivers, my MP3 were even played correctly!!

Yesterday i compiled Kernel 2.4.20 from sources, after that i downloaded the newest
alsa-packages:

alsa-driver-0.5.12a
alsa-lib-0.5.10b
alsa-utils-0.5.10

I compiled everything according to the HowTo for the i810 Soundcard on the Alsa
Homepage. But when i restart Alsa via "rcalsasound restart", there is a error message
"This Alsa Driver looks obsolete! Stopping Alsa"
Who can help me?

Greetings
Christoph
