To see if your card is supported I suggest:
www.alsa-project.org
And about the driver, I would rather try version 0.9rc6 or rc7. If no sound
support is found, that might mean no soundcore is loaded. If I have it right,
the soundcore module of the kernel must be loaded. But don't trust too much on
that, better wait for someone better, to determine that. Anone elese: Did I
get it right?
But about card-support and the alsa-version you can go on. Maybe the problem
will be solved.
