You shouldn't be able to, as they are not regular files on a "real"
filesystem. Just reboot and as long as no ALSA modules are loaded,
nothing should appear in that directory.

I am not sure if dependencies for ALSA packages are resolved in a nice
way for Debian. They only provide packaged ALSA modules for kernel
2.4.16, and if you had need to compile your own kernel, you need to
compile ALSA yourself using the package alsa-source. Then, if you install
alsa-utils, alsa-base gets installed which somewhat conflicts with
manual installation of modules.

I have installed alsa-source-0.5, alsa-utils-0.5, and
libasound1(-dev). Dependencies seem coherent at this stage. However,
my mileage may vary... ;)
