Yes.

Yes, and audio works fine, apart from a not alsa-related ground loop.

I'll answer  questions this last questions, when I'm home at the notebook
again. But one thing I forgot to say: I'm still runing 0.9rc6 on this
laptop. I read in the alsa-devel-archives, that you wrote some usbquirks
for midi on the UA-20. Maybe they weren't present in rc06, and an update to
rc7 would solve all my problems?
