Hi, I'm getting more aand more desperate ;( Clemens Ladisch schrieb: > I looked at the driver from Edirol's website, and it definitely uses 0025 > as product ID, so the above isn't a typo. > > But the picture on the website shows that the UA-20 has an "Advanced > Driver" switch. I'm sitting at work currently - don't tell anyone! - where I installed the UA-20 MME driver on Win2000. Here midi works in "Advanced Driver" mode, which is recommended by Edirol's README (maybe it is required). Midi works, I tested it with a Phil-Rees Faderbox and Pd. Then I kept the Advanced Mode switch in on position, connected it all to my ALSA notebook, and the Edirol isn't recognized at all, I don't even get sound, midi doesn't work neither, there's nothing regarding Edirol in /proc/asound/... When I dicconnect the device and plug it in again, /var/log/messages tells me, that usb.c has found a new device, but no driver claims this. /proc/bus/usb/devices shows this: [...] S: SerialNumber=aca0 C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=40 MxPwr= 0mA I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 1 Cls=09(hub ) Sub=00 Prot=00 Driver=hub E: Ad=81(I) Atr=03(Int.) But in my very first try I did have the UA-20 in Advanced Mode, and didn't have succes then either. ciao -- Frank Barknecht ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SlickEdit Inc.
