Ok, I've just come across what is possibly the most rediculous bugs I've ever seen. The volume on my sub seems to be tied to how unbalanced my left/right sound is. That is, if I have Left/Right channel volume at the same level, I get no bass. If i turn left all the way down and right all the way up (or the other way round) i get full bass volume. This happens whether I'm changing the volume on the Master control or the PCM. I think it's trying hard to piss me off. :) This was with last night's CVS. Oddly, it was working perfectly last night.

Any ideas on how to get it to use the center channel and then double to the back speakers? (In windows, the driver mirrors the front channels to the back when you have stereo only, and does something with the center... not quite sure what...) At the moment I've just got LR sound (haven't tried with a dvd or anything yet tho) - Jack -----Original Message----- From: Johan Groth [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sunday, February 16, 2003 4:39 AM To: Bradach, Jack Subject: Re: [Alsa-user] Hercules Gametheater XP (cs46xx) Bradach, Jack wrote: > Sweet, if you can find that (or just tell me a version that did work, since I can > install any of em) I would greatly appreciate it.
