Hi all, sorry, this certainly is a newbie question: I recently installed sound card (Creative. Audigy) and new Suse 8.1 with the included Alsa drivers. Generally, everything works, recording, playing, CD. But, using arecord, up to now I've never managed to record without several "xrun!!!" -- messages appearing during recording, no matter how high I set the buffer-option (-B) The recorded soundfile of course then skips at exactly these times when played.
Is this normal, or is there something which I am overlooking? Any hint on things I should check will be very helpful.
