Is your running kernel was done with these sources? You must recompile your kernel and use this recompiled kernel. Afterward, try to recompile alsa cvs. version.h gets automatically generated by the kernel build process. > When I do ./cvscompile with option directing to kernel > source same thing but when I direct to kernel headers it compiles no > problem but I'm getting unresolved symbols in alsa modules when I do > update-modules(Debian) Same thing with version 0.9.0rc7 (working on some > computers). Maybe those problem are specific to Debian kernel. I'll try > to do that with kernel from kernel.org. Thanks for answer and help. No. I'm currently using debian sid with all alsa packages: $ dpkg -l | grep alsa ii alsa-base 0.9.2-2 ALSA sound driver common files ii alsa-headers 0.9.2-2 ALSA sound driver header files ii alsa-source 0.9.2-2 ALSA sound driver source ii alsa-utils 0.9.2-2 Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (utils) I've only recompiled alsa-source (==alsa-driver directory on cvs tree) from cvs. I've sound now :) -- Laurent ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: ValueWeb: Dedicated Hosting for just $79/mo with 500 GB of bandwidth!
