I didn't kept the cvs of the 20030404 but I've tried with cvs of 20030406 of 09:31 (GMT+2) and it still works.. > > Synth devices: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG > > > > Midi devices: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG I've the same, I didn't use synth nor midi. > > I think that is the problem. Did you compile kernel, tool and oss > portion of cvs alsa? I compiled only driver, lib and utils like they > advise in 8233a notes. I'm using all the alsa debian packages( which are 0.9.2 on sid). I've just recompiled alsa-driver from cvs and done a make install. It overwrite the previous driver done via the alsa-source debian package (that I recompiled on the beginning and were not working). This is my sndstat: $ cat /proc/asound/oss/sndstat Sound Driver:3.8.1a-980706 (ALSA v0.9.2 emulation code) Kernel: Linux athena 2.4.20-ck4 #1 Sat Mar 8 19:06:44 CET 2003 i686 Config options: 0 Installed drivers: Type 10: ALSA emulation Card config: VIA 8233 at 0xec00, irq 11 Audio devices: 0: VIA 8233 (DUPLEX) Synth devices: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG Midi devices: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG Timers: 7: system timer Mixers: 0: VIA Technologies VIA1612A It's not exactly the same card and the mixer is different. But mine is working now. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: ValueWeb: Dedicated Hosting for just $79/mo with 500 GB of bandwidth!
