Yes, it works fine though it's a different way then most other sound cards. I used alsamixer to set it up for recording. First you must mark a mixer channel called capture for recording and set the volume to max, or at least something not zero. Then next to it is a channel called capture input source which you can use the up/down arrow to choose the actual source from. On mine I can choose mic, mixer, and input 0, though I've only tested mic.
