Hi, I've searched the web for this issue, but I didn't find a solution, here it is: The following pcm-devices are listed in /proc/asound/CS46xx pcm0c (Line-in?) pcm0p - front speakers pcm1p - rear speakers pcm2p - iec958 (untested) looks fine, but when I run $ aplay -D rear some.wav there is no sound typing $ aplay -D front some.wav I hear sound from front and rear speakers. The rear speakers seem to be confused with the headphone output as I read somewhere. That is why "Headphone" in alsamixer controls the volume of them. So lets actually reformulate the problem: there is no destinction between front and rear channels. And its not a hardware-problem: it works using Redmond 2k
It would be great if someone knows how to solve this. Thanks in advance Johannes P.S. I've sent this mail before when I was not subscribed to the list and it seems to hang at the moderator. This is the reason for resending it. -- www.johanneshuebner.com ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: VM Ware With VMware you can run multiple operating systems on a single machine.
