It needs a special boot-up sequence, sample rates other than 48K don't
work properly, and some mixer controls have to be disabled by the
driver.

In this case I am indeed guessing, because the workaround for the
mixer controls is already part of the driver in 2.6.0-test4.

The older firmware has a different set of mixer controls IIRC.
