When I attempt to compile the alsa sources on Red Hat 9.0 I get a message about a missing verion.h. I have the linux kernel source code installed because I recompiled my kernel. I am using a Sony VAIO PCG-GRX550. It is currently using the i810 driver from the kernel but it produces erratic sound.
