In envy24control the input signal shows up in H/W In 3 & 4, but Audacity only knows /dev/dsp as input device, which as far as I know is connected to H/W In 1 & 2.
BTW, line-in recording works using arecord through the proper ALSA channels, but Audacity only listens to OSS devices.
