I'm running Slack 9.0 kernel 2.4.21 with Asus P4PE integrated audio and with Dropline Gnome and I tried to use ALSA for my sound system...so I've download alsa-driver, alsa-lib, alsa-utils, alsa-oss, alsa-tools from alsa site. alsa-lib-0.9.7 were already installed by Dropline...so I don't have recompiled it! I've compiled alsa-driver with options: --with-sequencer=yes --with-oss=yes then ./alsaconf cp alsasound /usr/local/bin alsasound start

Compiling alsa-lib I recive a parse error... Can I fix my problem?? Some1 should help please?
