If you read the man mplayer, it says if i have -channels 5 will do 5.1, and it is right, you dont count with the subwoofer, just front L,R & rear L,R & center; -channels 6 should be front L,R & rear L,R & front center & rear center that it's 6.1; subwoofer dont counts, even that, i have tested with -channels 6 and dont works too, with sourcefource driver, but with alsa i dont know, i mean doing -channels 6 with alsa or with sourcefource driver?
