The alsa version I'm using is 1.0.0rc1, compiled on Dec 1 2003 for kernel 2.4.20-8 with versioned symbols.
The only exception is the hdspmixer was downloaed from you home page under 24/11/2003 : 17c02bc753b032493b281fcfa25c0bb3 hdspmixer-1.6.tar.gz
BTW, the new sound card works well on windows.
I'm looking forward to having your further reply.
Best wishs, Felix
Hi Felix,
What I would need now would be :
* the output of lspci -vv
* the output of dmesg
* the output of cat /proc/asound/cardX/hdsp (where X is the alsa card number of the offending hdsp card)
One further test you could do is eject the card (using cardctl, and while no application is accessing it) and insert it again (there could be a problem with card initialization at boot time).
Thanks, Thomas
