Using ALSA-1.0.0rc2

I have a SB Audigy2 Platinum. To connect my TV-tuner card to it, i'm
using an internal input on the Audigy, on the edge of the PCI card,
called AUX IN (the third as you count from the inside end of the card to
the end with the outside connectors).

The strange thing is, i have to turn up 2 controls in alsamixer to
activate it: Aux and Analog Mix. This can be quite frustrating when
chasing the right control (if one of them is all the way down, you may
never find the other one).

One other thing:
I'm using the analog 3.5mm line out on the PCI card to feed the signal
into my studio monitors. The level on that connector seems to be
controlled by two controls as well: "Master" and "Front". Is that
normal? (it seems to be, but i want to make sure)

Everything else is fine and clear to me:
- the other analog input (the "AUX IN 2" pair of connectors on the
5-inch frontal drive) that i currently use for other stuff - that one is
controlled exclusively by Aux2 on alsamixer, which is fine
- PCM is controlled by "PCM"
- the SPDIF input on the inside of the PCI card (i'm using it for the
CD-ROM's digital output) is controlled by "Audigy CD"
