I have a Terratec Aureon Space 7.1 and I'm able to play music through my digital out without any problems. There is just one thing that I can't seem to be able to do somehow. I would like to be able to duplicate channels. Currently I can only send 2 channels (left + right). I have a 5.1 DTS receiver and the necessary speakers so I would like to be able to copy the front left to the rear left and the front right to the rear right. Is this at all possible with the digital out?
I have tried to define more than 2 channels in the .asoundrc but this will not work because I receive an error. For analog out this isn't a problem and I am able to define more than 2 channels but since I only use the digital out on the card it is of no use to me.
