  Thanks for the help, but I'm still getting the same thing. :(
  I'm sort of confused (as usual :)) by that part of the error message
saying "requested or auto-format is not available", but that may just be
because of the "unable to initialize slave" from pcm_dsnoop.c.

  Hmm, wish I knew more about what I'm talking about! :)
