I'm running an EZ-Buddie computer that uses an sis7012 chipset under slackware 9.1. I have the OSS compatibility modules loaded, and am running wine in oss mode. Under wine i'm running a program called "BMS business music system" by NCH swift sound software. The sis 7012 produces good sound under linux, but wine and BMS produce awful, distorted, hashy sound. If I skip using the OSS emulation layer, sound fails to work completely. I have tried the workaround here: http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/doc-php/bugs-full.php3, but I still get the nasty hashy sound.Any assistance would be appreciated.
