Sound-slot-1 and sound-service-1-0 are for a second soundcard; the 
messages are just informational.

Esssolo1 is the OSS driver. You must remove this module before you can 
use ALSA. Btw,

seems to suggest another driver for the solo 1. Maybe you should try 
alsaconf to set up your /etc/modules.conf.
