Sorry to trouble you. My soundcard test is silent. The driver:snd-emu10k1, is listed as the driver. I can use basic command line instructions, but my knowledge of the file system is fresh, new. I imagine that I need to find a directory and alter some file, but where and how is beyond my current ability.
System CPU: AMD Athalon 2200+ XP
Sound: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum eX

Any tips or help would be great!

The ALSA snd-emu10k1 kernel module should work fine.
