Hello,

i got a Mainboard with ICH5 Chipset and onboard sound. The Soundchip is
a "Realtek ALC655 rev 0" on a "MSI 865PE Neo2-PFISR".

First of all: There comes sound out of the speakers, but there are some
things i am unsatisfied with.

The first issue is, that two jacks are swapped - Rear and
Subwoofer/Center.

The second one is: I have a 5.1 Surround System. When listening to music
i'd like to use all speakers. At least the two front, two rear and the
subwoofer. Since music is usually recorded in stereo, the channels need
to be duplicated or mixed (for the subwoofer) somehow. How do i achive
this?

I'd be really lucky to have this working so i can finally switch to
linux on my home machine (already working with linux on my notebook).
Being not able to listen to music properly actually stops me with this.

Thx in advance,
Mario
